Contrast Recovery
Alternating between an ice bath and a sauna causes the blood vessels to constrict and dilate rapidly. This can unlock a range of health and well-being benefits, and it has been shown to reduce muscle soreness, swelling, and fatigue. Our Contrast Recovery room is a private space that has both an infrared sauna and ice bath.
Infrared Sauna
An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to make heat. This type of sauna is sometimes called a far-infrared sauna. "Far" describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. A regular sauna uses heat to warm the air, which in turn warms your body. An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you. These saunas have been linked to a number of studies that help alleviate symptoms for conditions like high blood pressure, arthritis, diabetes, and headaches.
Ice Bath
Ice baths and cold water plunges have been a part of Scandinavian culture for hundreds of years. Cold water immersions have been increasingly popular for reducing inflammation in the body, boosts mood, increases blood circulation, and helps with muscle recovery. Come give it a try, you can do anything for 3 minutes!
